the hotel factory continues growing, not only in new and interesting projects, but also in regards to its team. We have recently had several additions to our offices in Palma and Madrid, so, as usual in the hotel factory, we have asked them to tell us a little more about themselves.

So today we introduce you to Belén Borrajo Gómez; one of our new analysts and who has recently joined to the office in Palma de Mallorca.

THF: Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Where are you from? What did you study?

I’m from Salamanca, where I studied in the Universidad Pontificia Technological Business Management,  a degree which mixes business management skills and informatics engineering.

THF: How did you come to know about the hotel factory? What caught your attention?

I wanted to try new things so I decided to try my luck in Palma. While looking for a new employment I found the hotel factory in a job finding platform and after taking a look at it, I had no doubt I had  to contact them.

What caught my attention the most was the opening itself, nowadays not many companies provide with opportunities to young people who just graduated and have little experience.

THF: Which is the first word that comes to mind when we talk about the company?

The first thing that comes to my mind is the good internal environment there is in the company. Since the start everything was very close, fact that I valued and was very thankful for, as this being the first time I’ve lived away from my hometown the change scared me a bit.

In the office everyone is ready to help at anytime, and for me, this constant availability and teamwork is very important.

THF: What do you like the most about this job?

I had never worked in the hotel industry before so at the start it was hard for me to understand all the concepts, either way, even though I still have a long way to go, the adapting process has been very positive.

On top of this, I do not have much work experience but I like learning a lot, so another of the best things I see is the fact that as I can be part of many different projects, the training load of the job is very high.

THF: And now let’s move on to some more personal questions: Your greatest weakness, what can’t you resist?

I love sweet things, a coffee without two sugars is not a real coffee for me.

THF: What do you like to do during your free time?

Listening to music and meeting with my friends and family.

THF: What was your last trip? And your next destination?

I could say my last trip, even though its long stay, has been here to Palma, where i’m still getting adapted, a few months ago.

I have not given much thought to my next destination, there are so many places I have not visited yet in the island and I’d like to use my free days to go to Salamanca and see my friends and family.

THF: Any secret you would like to share with us?

I am not sure if it counts as a secret… but when I was younger I wanted to be a farmer.

THF: And to conclude, a question about the sector that attracts us so much. If you could build a custom made hotel for you, how would it be?

If I could build a custom made hotel I would take into account:

  1. I love eating, so my hotel would have a good gastronomic offer.

  2. I love sleeping, so I would place enormous, comfortable beds with lots of pillows.

  3. I love swimming, so I would therefore build a big swimming pool in the rooftop, open 24 hours.

Furthermore, I would use light colours for the decoration and it would be located in a big city, with beach and where there’s good weather.

If you’d like to know more about her and the rest of the team at the hotel factory do not hesitate to check our team tab on our website or look for us on LinkedIn, where you can also find the latest updates about us and the hotel sector.
