By Tomeu Bordoy

the hotel factory continues growing, not only in new and interesting projects, but also regarding its own team. We always have candidates who come to our company to do internships of their degree studies or university master thanks to the various university agreements that we have signed with universities throughout the Spanish territory as well as internationally.

Therefore, as we usually do, we have asked the people who are doing their internships with us to tell us something more about themselves, their studies and their experience with us.

Today we introduce you to Alexandra Iulia Cozmuta; who has just finished her MBA at the University of the Balearic Islands and who has been doing her internship with us since last July.

THF: Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Where are you from? What are you studying?

I am 23 years old, I’m from northern Romania and I have been living in Mallorca for 12 years. I studied Economy at the University of the Balearic Islands. Currently, I am pursuing MBA Master and I am doing an internship at the hotel factory.

THF: Why did you decide to study this?

I always found the business world fascinating, therefore, at the time to decide about what I was going to study, It was clear. Since I started working for the hotel factory I discovered that I like the tourism industry more than I thought. So that was a surprise for me.

Tourism has become a major player in international trade, and it’s at the same time one of the largest sources of income for many developing countries. This growth goes hand in hand with increased diversification and competition between destinations.

THF: How did you come to know about the hotel factory? What caught your attention?

Through my master’s coordinator, Carolina Navarro. She sent us a whatsapp about the internship offer at the hotel factory in the group we have from the master. I investigated a little and seeing the impeccable company’s reputation and all the things at which it’s dedicated, I didn’t hesitate to contact the hotel factory.

THF: What was your impression when you met us for the first time during the interview?

I was very nervous, as I was interviewed by people: Bernat, Miguel, Toni and Nuri. But during the interview I realized that the four are very nice and professional people and that I would love to be able to work with them.

THF: Now that you have seen first hand the kind of work that we do here, is it what you expected of a hotel consultant?

I can say the hotel factory has surpassed my expectations. I didn’t  imagine that working in a hotel consultancy could be so interesting and captivating.

THF: What do you like the most about this job and what will you miss the most?

The fact that you have to use your imagination and be creative, I love it. Besides, it isn’t a boring, repetitive or monotonous job, every project is different and a challenge.

THF: What type of projects have you worked on during your months with us? Do find them interesting?

So far, I have dedicated all my time that I have had here a project that consists in a strategic plan to increase a hotel chain’s online reputation. I was fortunate to be able to do the mystery guest for the project and therefore to have the opportunity to travel to Croatia and meet the people for which we are working.

THF: What you would say to all the students who want to work as an intern? What reasons would you give for them to choose the factory hotel?

That is a great opportunity to learn a lot of things and an unpriced experience. the hotel factory is a delightful team and always ready to help.
