Since its beginnings, the hotel factory has been immersed in a wide variety of projects not only nationally but internationally, gaining experience in 14 countries spread across 4 continents. Therefore, in this post we will talk about one of the international destinations that, thanks to our the trust of our international clients, has provided us with great professional opportunities for more than 8 years: Croatia.

After some difficult years, Croatia is bringing out its most valuable assets: crystalline waters, medieval cities, respect for the environment and its cultural traditions. So much so that the tourist sector of the destination has experienced a strong growth, obtaining a record number of 18.6 million travelers in 2018, a growth of 7.1% compared to the previous year, and an accumulated growth of 19.8% compared to 2016. To a lesser extent, overnight stays in accommodation establishments in 2018 also experienced a growth of 4.0%, compared to the previous year, with an accumulated growth of 14.6% since 2016.

On the other hand, its capital, Zagreb, has been chosen as host of the electoral convention to elect the new leader of the European Council, Donald Tusk.

Given this growth, Croatian authorities have decided to launch the Croatian Tourism Strategic Plan for 2020 which aims, among others, to reform of some existing hotels and to increase the number of hotel rooms by 20,000 units. According to the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Zagreb, in 2019 the construction of 45 new hotels on the Adriatic coast is planned.

the hotel factory has had the opportunity to participate in several hotel projects in the destination that have resulted successful. Some of them are the definition of the brand values of a hotel chain, creation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all hotel departments, implementation of these SOP’s in more than 10 of the company’s hotels and development of audits to analyze the quality of the SOPs implementation.

Many other projects, and not less important, in which we have also collaborated in the destination have been: market research, destination analysis, CAPEX reinforcement plan, mystery guest in hotels and guest satisfaction strategic plans.

Altogether, thanks to the projects in which we have collaborated, we have grown professionally for more than 8 years and we have gained experience in multiple sub-destinations such as: Zagreb, Opatija, Sibenik, Dubrovnik, Cavtat and Novi Vinodolski.

Thanks to these projects, the hotel factory has demonstrated that with our extensive portfolio of services, each project not only includes our consulting services but also our high involvement in the implementation process through our new training and coaching services, resulting in success stories for our team and our clients.
